Unity Law College Lights Up Day 2 of ‘Diksha Aarambh’ with Inspiring Speeches and Expert Guidance

Udham Singh Nagar: Unity Law College, Rudrapur is currently hosting a three-day induction program named ‘Diksha Aarambh,’ which began on October 24, 2024. The program is designed to welcome and orient new students, introducing them to the college’s academic culture and legacy. Today marked the second day of the event, featuring a series of insightful speeches and motivational sessions.

Warm Welcome by Principal Prof. (DR.) K.S. Rathore

The program commenced with a warm welcome by the College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) K.S. Rathore, who set the tone for the day’s proceedings. He provided an overview of the college’s history, achievements, and the various courses offered, including LL.B., BA LL.B., LL.M., and diploma programs in Cyber Law and Corporate Law. He highlighted that since its establishment in 2008, the college has successfully graduated 14 LL.B., 12 BA LL.B., one LL.M., and one batch each in diploma programs.

In his keynote speech, Prof. Rathore emphasized the importance of legal education and the college’s commitment to shaping future leaders in the legal profession. “Unity Law College is not just an institution but a platform for holistic development,” he remarked, citing the achievements of alumni who have gone on to become judicial officers, university gold medalists, assistant professors, legal officers, and public prosecutors. He also outlined the social responsibility initiatives conducted under the guidance of the District Legal Services Authority, Udham Singh Nagar, including anti-drug campaigns, blood donation drives, plantation programs, traffic rules awareness, and a legal aid clinic.

Motivational Speech by Mr. Manoj Katyal, SP City

Today’s chief guest, Mr. Manoj Katyal, SP City – Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar, addressed the students as a motivational speaker and career counselor. Drawing on his extensive experience in corporate and related laws, Mr. Katyal provided valuable guidance for aspiring legal professionals, discussing career prospects and sharing insights on how to navigate the legal field. His speech was both inspiring and informative, encouraging students to pursue their ambitions with determination.

Another esteemed guest, Mr. R.P. SHARMA, a retired Superintendent of Police and the college’s patron, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He shared his experiences in law enforcement and the judiciary, emphasizing the crucial role of law students in upholding justice and contributing to society.

Faculty Members and Students

The event was further enriched by the presence of the college’s Managing Director, Mr. Nitin Sharma, and his wife, Mrs. Aatoosa Sharma. Proctor, Dr. M.S. Bhandari, along with other faculty members, played significant roles in organizing the event, while stage management was handled by Dr. K.N. Joshi.

The college has an impressive record of accomplishments over the past 17 years. It boasts seven alumni who have become judicial officers in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, 12 recipients of the Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal, and several other honors, including Gaura Devi awards. Graduates have also excelled in academics, with one having cleared the NET (JRF) examination and others holding significant positions such as Assistant Professors in government universities, a legal officer in the Government of Rajasthan, and a Public Prosecutor with the CBI.

Faculty members, including Dr. Pawan Kumar, Dr. U.C. Joshi (Examination Head), Mrs. Dhana Bisht, Mrs. Pallavi Sharma, Dr. Amit Chaturvedi, Mr. Pankaj Rathaur, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Mr. Nakul Dalakoti, Mr. Varun Rai, Mrs. Shretima Dwivedi, Mrs. Anupam Singh, Mr. Amit Bora, Mr. Dharmendra Sisodia, Mr. Rahul Dumika Including Several Senior Students of College were also present, contributing to the success of the event.

The ‘Diksha Aarambh’ induction program will conclude tomorrow, with further activities aimed at equipping new students with the knowledge and skills necessary for their academic journey at Unity Law College.
